Our beautiful peaceful studio is set on Crookedwood Farm in the heart of the Boyne Valley. It is a converted haybarn totally separate from our home and the entire space is yours and only yours for the duration of your stay. Initially designed to provide a tranquil place for musicians, artists and writers to work today we welcome guests from all over the world. We are also the ideal base for anyone visiting The Boyne Valley/Irelands Ancient East, Tayto Park and all the other wonderful historical sites in County Meath. Our studio is also a very convenient base for seeing all the sights in Dublin & retreating to the peace & quiet of the country after a busy exploring. Dublin Airport is a 40 minute drive, Dublin City Center, is a 50 minute drive.
The studio comprises of a bright, spacious comfortable living room, that also has a large dining table that can seat 6 people. Off this room is a kitchen, bathroom & 2 bedrooms, each bedroom can sleep 4 people, in total we can accommodate 8 guests.
The Studio also has its own private wood with picnic benches and superb views across the Boyne Valley. A perfect way to relax in on a long summers evening with a glass of wine after a day spent exploring the sites of the area.
To keep you company on your stay is Jimbob the donkey, Banjo and Lucky the Shetland ponies, Arabella the hen & her nine sisters. Wilbur and Mr Pickles the pot bellied pigs, and Mollie & Figs our collies.
The kitchen comes stocked with breakfast items such as eggs that our girls have lain tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread and fresh fruit all included in the price. The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, toaster, sink, microwave, a two ringed electric hob and fridge. Sorry but we do not have a TV, an oven or washing machine.
Children are welcome and the studio has lots of space for them to play but they do need to be supervised when outside.
